چکیده
Abstract The purpose of this paper is twofold: first we study an eigenvalue problem for the fractional p -sub-Laplacian over Folland–Stein–Sobolev spaces on stratified Lie groups. We apply variational methods to investigate problems. conclude positivity eigenfunction via strong minimum principle -sub-Laplacian. Moreover, deduce that simple and isolated. Secondly, utilising established properties, prove existence at least two weak solutions Nehari manifold technique a class subelliptic singular problems associated with also boundedness positive considered Moser iteration technique. results obtained here are new even case $$p=2$$ p = 2 $$\mathbb {G}$$ G being Heisenberg group.

The Singularity of Orbital Measures on Compact Lie Groups
We find the minimal real number k such that the kth power of the Fourier transform of any continuous, orbital measure on a classical, compact Lie group belongs to l2. This results from an investigation of the pointwise behaviour of characters on these groups. An application is given to the study of Lp-improving measures.
متن کاملCompact Lie Groups
The first half of the paper presents the basic definitions and results necessary for investigating Lie groups. The primary examples come from the matrix groups. The second half deals with representation theory of groups, particularly compact groups. The end result is the Peter-Weyl theorem.

Lie Groups and p-Compact Groups
A p-compact group is the homotopical ghost of a compact Lie group; it is the residue that remains after the geometry and algebra have been stripped away. This paper sketches the theory of p-compact groups, with the intention of illustrating the fact that many classical structural properties of compact Lie groups depend only on homotopy theoretic considerations. 1 From compact Lie groups to p-co...
